Like the residential EV rate, this is a “whole house” rate and would apply to all the customers’ entire energy use. - Energy used during weekday non-holidays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. will be charged a higher on-peak rate, with lower, off-peak rates charged for use during all other times. The TOD component is designed to create an on-peak to off-peak rate ratio of 2:1. This allows TOD customers to save up to twice as much on their electric bill for usage during off-peak hours, as compared to on-peak hours. ## **Large commercial EV rate** Large commercial and industrial customers whose actual demand is greater than 50 kW but less than 1,400 kW receiving a Ready EV charging rebate have the option to enroll in a Time-of-Day rate exclusively for EV charging. Unlike the residential EV rate, which is a “whole house” rate, this rate would not apply to large commercial customers’ entire energy use, therefore a separate meter will be required to catch EV charging energy usage. Your electricity costs based on both meters will appear on the same monthly bill. - Energy used during weekday non-holidays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. will be charged a higher on-peak rate, with lower, off-peak rates charged for use during all other times. - There is a seasonal component to this rate to encourage off-peak EV charging with lower on-peak rates during non-summer months. Summer period is defined as being June 1 through September 30, and non-summer months are the rest of the year. - The TOD component is designed to create an on-peak to off-peak ratio of 3:1 during summer months, and 2:1 for non-summer months. This allows TOD customers to save up to three times as much during summer months and twice as much during non-summer months on your charging bill when charging during off-peak hours, as compared to on-peak hours. Large commercial customers with DCFCs will be charged a $7.62 per kW demand charge, which is the highest average kW load measured during 15 consecutive minutes of maximum use during the billing period. We negotiated this rate down from the standard rate of $28.00 per kW to better support our large commercial customers. ## **Large commercial EV rate (non-demand)** Large commercial and industrial customers whose actual demand is greater than 50 kW but less than 1,400 kW receiving a Ready EV charging rebate have the option to enroll in a Time-of-Day rate exclusively for public EV charging. Unlike the residential EV rate, which is a “whole house” rate, this rate would not apply to large commercial customers’ entire energy use, therefore a separate meter will be required to catch EV charging energy usage.
